Aaliyah Daniel Haughton exploded to stardom in 1994 with her album debut Age Ain't Nothing but A Numer. The album was Gold in the year she turned 15 years old. R. Kelly heavily influenced this collaboration, and helped to bring her into the spotlight. In 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. It contained If Your Girls Only Knew, the top-selling single. Aaliyah gained international fame for her R&B songs on the album. She made her debut in 2000. appeared alongside the legendary martial artist Jet Li for the film Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, a film producer at an award show at the time she landed the role and spotted her. In 2002, she appeared part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels saw her as Zee, after appearing in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) as well as The Matrix Revolutions that same year. The singer had four Grammy nominations in 1999 2001 2002 and 2003. The actress is the first Indian American to be who was born in Connecticut. The stage name Mann comes from her married name Mankad. Aarti Magnumdar is her formal name, but she also uses Aarti Magumdar. Her acting career began in the mid 2000's, with a few appearances on television and in films. In addition to The Big Bang Theory her most notable work includes Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) and Grey's Anatomy (2017). In addition, she has appeared in commercials of major brands like international car manufacturer Volvo. She is a resident of Los Angeles where she continues acting as an actress.
